Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday are all behind us, and we’ve saved the best for last— Giving Tuesday! In case you’re not familiar with this, it’s a day dedicated to giving to people and organizations who are doing incredible work around the world.
If you’re not sure where to start, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite nonprofits as well as two individuals. Everyone on this list is doing amazing work! Some are stateside and some are overseas.
Let’s get started!
Love Does
You may know Bob Goff for his two books: Love Does and Everybody Always, but before the books there was an organization who, for the last 15 years, has been working in some of the most difficult and unreached places in the world. Countries including Somalia, Iraq, India, Uganda, Nepal, and Afghanistan.
The Love Does team focuses their resources on helping “fight for human rights and providing education to children,” all while loving the way Jesus calls us to love others. Oh, and there are balloons. Lots and lots of balloons!

Or to learn more about their organization and maybe even check out Bob’s, or his wife Maria’s books (which are all three on my favorite books list), head on over to their website HERE.
World Vision
One of the largest Christian mission organizations in the world, since the 1950s World Vision has been “partnering with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.”
You have two options when giving to World Vision: a lump sum that’ll be donated to their general fund, or you can pick a specific project you want to. Projects including farm animals for families in need, medical supplies, mosquito nets, clean water, child protection, and even hope for sexually exploited girls.
They even have an option to give to kids right here in the USA who are in need of basic essentials such as warm clothes.
To learn more about the organization and to give, visit their website HERE.
Feed My Starving Children
According to their website, Feed My Starving Children focuses on feeding starving children hungry in body and spirit.” And it’s true. I’ve witnessed firsthand how much of an impact their “MannaPacks” have on communities where receiving all the essential nutrients is difficult.
With different types of MannaPacks that fit different nutritional needs, there are millions of kids around the world who have been impacted by these nutrient dense foods.
Giving Tuesday is about giving financially, and a dollar goes a long way with Feed My Starving Children. So consider giving to the work their doing HERE.
Side note: financial donations aren’t the only way you can give back! Feed My Starving Children also has packing events where you can be a part of helping put together these MannaPacks that will be distributed all around the world! To find a MobilePack Event near you, visit their website HERE.
Daria Holler
I met Daria five years ago when she was leading my cycling tour across the country with Venture. She always inspired me with her constant positive outlook on even the most frustrating situations, as well as her contagious zeal for God, adventure, and life in general.
Today Daria is living in Wyoming with her husband, Austin, and serves as with Solid Rock Outdoor Ministries (SROM). There she leads and supports Christ-centered wilderness ministry expeditions and gets to witness incredible Spiritual growth and community building amongst her expedition participants. SROM wilderness courses include backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, backcountry cooking, and alpine and backcountry living, and can range from 7-40 days in length.
Consider partnering with Daria financially through either a one time donation or monthly. By doing so, it allows her to continue making an impact on all the students that pass through SROM’s doors.
To donate, visit Daria’s donation page HERE.
Or, to learn more about the organization (and maybe even sign up for an expedition!), visit SROM’s
website HERE.
Sara Whitehurst
Sara is currently serving in Thailand in a Buddhist village just outside of Chiang Mai. I met Sara two years ago while visiting Thailand and even got to do a little temporary work alongside her in the community center in her village. Let me just say, the kids that Sara is working with LOVE her. The impact God is having on their lives because of Sara’s faithfulness is evident.
Sara teaches English lessons to children after school during the week and Bible lessons on the weekends, followed by games and lunch. It’s a lot of work, and she does it all with such passion.
To donate to help keep Sara in Thailand, or to learn more about her and her heart behind her work in Thailand, visit her page HERE.
Don't forget....
Giving Tuesday makes a real impact on real people, so give wholeheartedly. Also, don't forget you can give on behalf of someone, too! For that person who seems to have everything, maybe give in their name and it'll make their Christmas and do a whole lot of good in the process.
Happy giving, everybody!
